Getting to Bonn

Arriving by plane

The closest airport is Cologne/Bonn (CGN). Bonn can also be reached easily from Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) and Frankfurt/Main International Airport (FRA) by train in 1-2 hours.

From Cologne-Bonn Airport to Bonn Central Station

There is a frequent shuttle bus connection from the airport to Bonn central station. Buses depart outside the arrivals terminal. The trip will take half an hour and costs 7,20€.
A taxi from the airport to Bonn city center or vice versa costs about 40€ and takes approx. 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

From Düsseldorf Airport to Bonn Central Station

There are several options to get to Bonn. The most convenient option is to take a SkyTrain to the airport railway station, and take a train to Bonn from there.
The SkyTrain departs every few minutes. This service might not be included in your flight or train ticket, in which case you can buy a ticket from a vending machine (more information here).
A direct regional train departs from the airport railway station between 5:50h to 19:50h each hour and takes 65 min. The trip costs 15,70€.

Alternatively, you can take a regional train from the terminals to Düsseldorf central station, and take a connecting train to Bonn from there.

From Frankfurt/Main International Airport to Bonn Central Station

There are several intercity links and fast ICE (intercity express) trains from the airport railway station (Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof) to Bonn central station or to Siegburg/Bonn station. From Siegburg/Bonn station, the tram line 66 takes you to Bonn central station in 25 minutes.
The trip from Frankfurt takes between 70 minutes and 1 hour 40 minutes and costs between 30€ and 70€.
Hint: Deutsche Bahn (DB) offers special prices (19€) for long distance trains if the ticket is bought at least 3 days in advance.
